Is the safety of Tulua products affected by COVID-19?

Our products remain completely safe to consume. As always , we use high-pressure processing (HPP) which is an FDA-approved cold pasteurization technique that uses pressure to kill any harmful bacteria and preserve food without reducing its nutritional value.

Furthermore, according to the Center for Disease Control, COVID-19 is spread from person-to-person through respiratory droplets. The FDA states there is no evidence of food or food packaging being associated with transmission of COVID-19.

We will continue to monitor the current situation to stay informed on developments impacting the food and safety of our products.

 

Will my online order be delayed due to COVID-19?

We fulfill all online orders within 1-2 days of receiving the order. We have not yet experienced any shipping delays, but please feel free to contact us at support@drinktulua.com if you do not receive your order.

 

Is the shipping box safe to touch regarding COVID-19?

The WHO and CDC have stated that the likelihood of the COVID-19 virus contaminating cardboard or other shipping containers is low. If there is a concern, disinfecting the shipment or using protective apparel when unwrapping the container will reduce the risk of exposure.

 

Has the manufacturing facility taken any extra measures to maintain safety?

As an FDA-regulated food manufacturer, we are required to follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs). We abide by strict requirements for maintaining a clean and sanitized facility.

Employees are staying extra vigilant in their hygiene practices, including frequent and proper hand-washing and routine cleaning of all surfaces. Additionally, we are practicing social distancing as recommended by the CDC.
