Sourced with intention
We hunt for the best version of every ingredient, not just the available version. Every ingredient we use is selected down to the specific variety, by origin, by potency, and by flavor profile. There is a significant difference between ginger grown in one part of the world and ginger grown in another. The same is true for almost every functional ingredient that exists. We spend the time to find the best version of it.
Our ginger is single-origin from the Amazon rainforest in Peru. Finding it took six months of sourcing from growers around the world before we landed on the variety with the right potency, pungency, and depth. That ginger is the reason you can actually feel the difference. We go directly to growers whenever possible, because the closer you are to the source, the better the ingredient. We do that vetting work so you don't have to. At the end of the day, it is just a shot in a glass bottle. What makes it different is everything that happened before it got there.
Why we made the switch to glass
We spent years making the most powerful ginger shot on the market before we took a hard look at what we were putting it in. Plastic is the industry standard for many reasons. It is lighter, cheaper, and easier to ship. But it leaches, it degrades, and it ends up in a landfill or an ocean. We made the switch to glass because the product deserved better. Glass is inert and will not interact with what is inside or break down over time. It is infinitely recyclable, and it signals something about what you are holding: this is a product built with as much thought for the planet as for what goes inside it.
